Organic chives started from seeds is a pretty plant for the flower garden
From our favorite organic grower in Toronto Canada, Laura Watt brings us chives with their delicate, onion-y flavor and a kitchen garden staple. The flower heads have a very mild flavor and are perfect in salads or as an edible garnish.
Chives are useful as a companion plant throughout the garden to help reduce the insect population. Harvest chives for bouquet garnis. Sow seeds in a pot for garden gifts. Include in the flower garden for a light purple spray of flowers in spring.
100 + Certified organic seeds per pack.
Planting instructions: Sow seeds in the garden directly where the plant will grow. Plant 1/8-inch deep and 1-inch apart. When seedlings are 2-inches tall, thin to 6-inches apart. Moderate water. Partial to full sun. Perfect for container gardens.
