Air plant pod

This handcrafted tillandsia pod by Michael McDowell is finished with a matte white glaze over stoneware ceramic. Each pod comes with a generous amount of natural hemp cord ready to hang.

Because they are high fired, you can hang them outdoors, but make sure to bring your air plants inside during cold temperatures.

Air plants, or tillandsias, come from the tropics growing on tree tops and surviving on mist and rain. Spritz your plants once or twice a week to keep the comfortable.

Hang your pod by a sunny window inside, or in part shade outside.

Each large pod arrives gift packaged and makes the perfect house warming present. Amazing individually or hung in groups. You can also display these right side up on a shelf or table just by taking the cord and hanger out.

I live and work in beautiful Denver, Colorado with my two studio assistants Ennis and Konrad, my dogs. My objective is to handcraft beautiful, well made ceramic objects for your home.
