Mezzaluna

This hand-forged mezzaluna is made by blacksmith Jeff Reinhardt in Indiana. Not a gardener, Jeff likes to enable the people in his life who are.

The smooth herb knife is made from leaf spring stock and has surface pitting and texture. Sharpness is maintained with a standard knife steel and it can be honed to razor sharpness if you like.

Use your mezzaluna on fresh or dried herbs, for chiffonades and small fruits. Wipe with oil before storing.

Since the knives are handmade, expect slight variations in the finished piece.

Jeff Reinhardt forges his handmade tools in the hills along the Ohio River in Southern Indiana. His Persimmon Tree Forge started in 1994 literally in the shade of a large persimmon tree.
