Sarah’s ‘Melissa’ lavender was hand-carried from France by Andy Van Hevelingen and named for his wife. ‘Melissa’ is a compact plant, ranging from eighteen to twenty-four inches high, making it ideal for the balcony gardener as it grows well in containers.
It is also fantastic for culinary use with its floral, sugary quality unlike other lavenders.
Thrives best in zones 5 through 10. Collection includes six plants.

I spent many summers on my family’s farm in Oklahoma as a child. The sense of community, the love of the farm lifestyle has always been something I wanted to be a part of as an adult.
