Botanical series

Part of a herbarium series photographed by Deborah Brakenbury in Oklahoma, this Large Lotus print celebrates the beauty of small details such as the “ghost” image that has appeared on the page next to the plant, or the unusual tape used on some of the specimens to hold them in place.

Some of the images in the series are composites formed from negatives shot in a sequence. The composites are particularly well suited to  11×14 size paper.

This is an 8″x10″ image on 8.5″x11″ Epson archival glossy paper. All papers and inks used are archival and will certainly outlast us and perhaps another generation or two.
