The deeply cupped blade that is sharpened all the way up both sides makes it useful for quickly coring a hole for bedding plants. Unlike most transplant trowels, Red Pig comes without depth markings on the blade surface.

Why? Because Bob has never seen anyone use the depth markings on trowels that have them. “Most gardeners can tell one inch from two and your bulbs won’t croak if you bury them a half or quarter-inch too deep or shallow.”
