Tree tags

These English oak tree tags are made in the basement of an old stone mill in Lancaster England. Chris Fox sources the finest hardwoods from England’s Lake district for garden tags that will last decades outdoors.

Use his tree tags to identify fruit trees, roses and unusual shrubs for yourself and your garden visitors. You can write on them either with a soft pencil or permanent marker.

Although originally trained as an engineer, I’ve always worked with wood and have been running my own furniture-making and woodturning business for a number of years.

I have a workshop in the basement of an old stone building in NW Lancashire, which is towards the top left hand corner of England.

Much of my timber is locally sourced, while the oak for larger pieces are Forest Stewardship Certified European stock.
