Wild bird feeder

This charming bird feeder is hand-crafted by California artist Cheryl Wolff and provides a playful place for birds to congregate. Cheryl says the birds love hopping from one “window” to the next.

The feeder is made of high-fired porcelain and finished in a weathered bronze glaze. Hangs from a stainless steel wire that won’t rust or break.

Measures 8 1/2-inches, by 2-inches by 2-inches.

A bird enthusiast, Wolff recommends filling the feeder with safflower seed to keep the squirrels away.

I love making things. I love the focus, the preoccupation and the process. My pottery is hand-crafted in my home studio in Northern California where I am surrounded by redwood trees, nature and wildlife, all of which have influenced me in designing simple, elegant pieces that are both beautiful and functional.

I believe that the ordinary things we surround ourselves with — the pieces we use and the things we look at day after day should add beauty to our environment and make us happy when using them.
