Even though tillandsias, or air plants and other epiphytes grow without soil, they need nutrition too, just like any other plant.

Air Head provides a well-rounded all-natural feed in mist form. Soak your air plants in a bucket of water at least twice a month. Mist with water twice a week. And in between soaks, be sure to lightly spritz with organic Air Head plant food for bigger, happier plants and more flowers.

One 12-ounce bottle lasts an entire season

Air plants are a huge gardening trend in 2012

This tiny tillandsia mounted on thin stone can be used as a garden ornament, worn as jewelry, or is mighty happy hung near a sunny window in your home.

Since it’s a living plant you’ll want to care for it like other tillandsias: spritz with water three times a week, dunk in a room temp water-filled bowl twice a month for 5 minutes, and lightly feed during the growing season. Tillandsia is especially happy in a sunny bathroom window.

Gift one to your groovy friend that has “everything”. Hang one near the bathroom window. Wear one on your next nursery hopping jaunt.

Includes: tillandsia mounted on a pendant, 6-inch long curled wire for hanging.

Because plants are living and need to be cared for by you, they are only guaranteed for 7 days after the date of delivery.

Featured: Los Angeles Times Home and Garden

Note: Since these are handmade and due to demand, allow three weeks for delivery.

Air plants are the easiest of all indoor plants – just spritz – you’re done

These air plants are the tiniest in the tillandsia clan and live happily on top of gravel or sand. The easy arrangement in a tall glass cylinder makes a great gift for your favorite gardener (it could be you) a surprise gift, succulent centerpiece or just because.

Air plants have few roots so need you to spritz them twice a week with room temperature water. A twenty minute soak twice a month is appreciated, especially if the soak contains a wee drop of plant food.

Find a spot in your cubicle for an air plant, especially if you work near a sunny window. Give one to the boss. Makes a great first plant for newlyweds.

Ships safely with glass vase, sand, rock mulch and plant.

We think these are the most spectacular of all amaryllis

These fabulous and hard-to-find Hippeastrums, better known as amaryllis Papilio look fabulous in the garden as well as pots on the patio. If potted, be sure to bring them inside when they’re ready to bloom, you won’t want to miss a single minute of their incredible color.

In the garden, plant in full sun or part shade where they will grow stronger and bigger every year. Plant with their shoulders slightly above the ground. Feed lightly until the green leaves begin to die back. These giant bulbs will grow and bloom the following spring. Hardy in zones 8 – 11.

In colder climates, plant Papilio in pots and put them outside in the sunny garden until frost threatens. Feed lightly until the green leaves begin to die back in late summer. Then bring them inside near a sunny window where they will grow and bloom the following spring.

1 jumbo bulb (the size of a large onion) ships with growing instructions.

When I was growing up my mom would be working in her garden and ask me to help and that’s when I would find the nearest large rock to plant my butt on. I was more of a garden gnome than a gardener because I just wanted to watch.

My love for plants didn’t begin till I was 18. Now I absolutely love, love, love digging around in the dirt and learning about all the different plants and flowers.

By day I am a student and work as a financing assistant, but whenever I find time I find myself fiddling with my plants and “playing” arts and crafts.

In my previous life I was a consultant for a popular candle company. But I wanted to move away from the fast lifestyle and find a way to support my own candle habit. With a special needs child, I also needed to change the way my family eats, cleans and lives.

Crafting natural soy candles is just one way we keep our home healthy.

I discovered my love of pottery almost 25 years ago after watching a master potter working his wheel. To my then untrained eye, it appeared that the potter made the clay rise up almost as if by magic. I was hooked! Later I became a student of the master potter who had inspired me. While training under him, I also began taking classes at various Michigan colleges and universities as well as attending many workshops in the region.

I have spent years studying and developing a diverse understanding of the traditions of pottery, but I also began early on to explore my own unique direction. In the years that followed, I began working in various clay mediums, all centered around my potter’s wheel and kilns.

Today my primary focus is functional pottery and tableware; items like wine chillers and personalized coffee/tea mugs.

Haven Longhorns and Angus are free-range, grass fed, hormone, antibiotic and pesticide-free. And what goes in her cattle come out the other end the same way in her natural manure products for the garden.
